Developed at the same time as the 208, the new Peugeot 2008 introduces a particularly strong design – as is appropriate for an SUV, even a compact one (it is 4.30 metres long). Gilles Vidal, head of design for the “lion” automaker, explains: “We played around with solutions that represented protection, solidity, strength, without renouncing a sleek and dynamic silhouette, in order to give the vehicle modern, even futuristic, values”.
