THE BELGIOIOSO STORY BEGAN MORE THAN A CENTURY AGO IN ITALY, and in 1979, Errico Auricchio brought his wife, Patrizia, and their children, Francesca, Gaetano, and Sofia, to the US to continue his great-grandfather’s legacy of creating exceptional Italian cheeses. They were joined by two skilled, passionate cheesemakers, Mauro and Gianni.
When Errico arrived in the US, he set out to find the finest milk for cheesemaking. His search led him to the lush green pastures of Wisconsin, renowned as “America’s Dairyland,” where he discovered abundant high-quality milk from passionate local farmers.
