The four Cyprus Specimen bank notes include a 1955-60 250 Mils, a 1955-57 500 Mils, a 1955 1 Pound and a 1955-60 5 Pounds, each graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (Part A, lot 06804), with a starting price of €12,000 (about $13,000). Specimen bank notes are important both for collectors and the banking system, helping its employees identify genuine currency in circulation.
