JAMES BANKS, a righthander who pitched in the Nebraska State and Midwest leagues for the Kansas City Athletics organization in in 1956 and ’57, died Nov. 14 in Macon, Ga. He was 82.
JOHN BEVIL, a lefthander who pitched in the New York-Penn, Carolina and Florida State leagues for the Tigers organization from 1968-70, died Nov. 14 in New Braunfels, Texas. He was 73.
BEARL BROOKS, a shortstop who played in the Evangeline, South Atlantic and Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee leagues from 1949-52 and returned as a player-coach after serving in the Navy in World War II in Japan, died Nov. 10, in Jonesboro, Ark. He was 93.
WILL BRUNSON, a lefthander who pitched parts of three seasons with the Dodgers and Tigers, died Nov. 23 in Big Bend National Park, Texas.
