DILLON DINGLER TIGERS The Tigers selected Dingler out of Ohio State with their second-round pick in the 2020 draft, then assigned him to High-A West Michigan to begin 2021. He didn’t stay long, however, moving to Double-A Erie on June 14. Dingler so far has shown a blend of conact and power skills, and was hitting .288/.377/.518 through 37 games in his professional debut. But after Von Rosenberg finished his four years at Zachary High, having been the winning pitcher in four state championship games. Mike Scioscia played 12 seasons for Dodgers Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda. Together they won four division titles and World Series championships in 1981 and 1988. Their friendship spanned more than 40 years, and when Lasorda died earlier this year, Scioscia served as one of his pallbearers. Scioscia saw Lasorda through many of the most emotional moments in his career.
