Francis says: “Sh2-224 is a very faint supernova remnant in the constellation of Auriga, the Charioteer. It has a rather peculiar asymmetric shape, with a shell structure that has a radius of about 75 lightyears. We captured this remotely from France. The observatory is located in the Alqueva area of southern Portugal, where major efforts are being made to control light pollution.”
