Renowned local artists Lucy Culliton and Rhett Brewer, travelled to Moree in the state’s north west to lead an outdoor painting event as part of the The Painted River Project, a Western Sydney University collaboration with BAMM (Bank Art Museum Moree) and Moree Local Land Services, along the banks of the Mehi River. The collaboration involved artists capturing the river visually, while scientists undertook water testing and exploration. The group of visiting artists joined with the local community to celebrate, share and capture on canvas the unique ecology and culture of their place. When winemakers Nadja and Steve first met at Charles Sturt University in 2008, they never knew that a few years later they would become a couple, co-own a vineyard, and create their very own brand of wine.
