FOR many fighters, boxing will arrive at a time when there is, quite simply, no other way to turn.
Their gym may offer an escape – a refuge, perhaps – away from the trials and tribulations that come with life beyond the ropes.
Other fighters, meanwhile, will discover the sport at a much earlier age, providing a clear pathway, defined by structure and focus, that can guide one closer towards their lofty goals.
Whatever the case, one thing always seems to remain the same. It is, of course, that feeling – as euphoric as it is addictive.
