In summer 2021, I went with my troop to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. It was an exciting and memorable experience, especially after the pandemic. I am also a big Lego fan. Before I went to Philmont, I had planned to build a diorama to display at the BrickFair Lego Fan Expo. After I returned home from my trip, I decided to make a diorama of Philmont. It took about a month — and a ton of pieces. I combined different aspects of each of our campsites into one. There was part of a railroad with a handcar for Metcalf Station, a cabin for Ponil, a red roof for the outhouse and more. I displayed the diorama at BrickFair in September.
