MOHAMED SAEED | Pietermaritzburg I remember Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, affectionately known as the “Arch”, the anti-apartheid hero, the Nobel laureate, the moral conscience religious cleric and social activist, for his clear moral and unbiased position on Palestine.
We must honour his legacy of speaking truth to power and his life by continuing the fight against apartheid Israel, occupation of Palestine, against politicians who abused their power, poverty, unemployment, corruption, oppression, injustices, human rights abuses and immorality.
South Africans must strengthen and live by his famous phrase “rainbow nation” – a dream of Tutu to see South Africans of various cultural, racial, religious or ethnic groups in their different cultures and skin colours, co-exist in peace, unity and side by side.
I extend my deepest condolences to Mama…
