THE number of fatalities caused by flooding in Kariega and Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape has risen to seven, while in KwaZulu-Natal, a tornado caused extensive damage to infrastructure.
Meanwhile, cold, wet and windy conditions are expected to persist in Cape Town, leaving roads and informal settlements vulnerable, the SA Weather Service (Saws) warned.
