Insurance provider, Admiral Insurance, has issued a warning to those towing a caravan as road accidents reach their summer peak. According to Admiral claims data, 20% of accidents involving a caravan happen in August, while 49% of caravan-related claims occur during the summer months. With more caravans on the road in the summer holiday season, Admiral urged caravan owners to familiarise themselves with towing guidelines and double-check their insurance policy. There is nothing unusual about us sitting in the sunshine outside our ’van, surrounded by trees and watching birds hop across the grass. What is unusual is that this particular tranquil campsite is 20 minutes’ walk from the centre of Wales’ capital city, Cardiff. We love discovering new places and one such site is Ashridge Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club site in Hertfordshire which is something of a hidden gem. We booked to stay from Thursday to Sunday as I was off to an event nearby and Steve thought he’d take the opportunity to have some time to explore the local area.
