MATERIALS • Markers: Copics BG000, BG0000, B000, B0000• Card: X-Press It blender; Bazzill white, Yukon gold• Stickers: Pebbles 3D layered felt; Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine label• Adhesives: double-sided tape 1 Draw a haphazard scalloped line across the whole card, 20mm from the top using B000 marker. 2 Draw haphazard scalloped formations to fill in the card, starting at the sides and working in, leaving a 30-40mm vertical gap between each one. 3 Fill in the top 20mm section of the card using the B000 marker, then repeat this above each scalloped line to reveal the tops of the clouds. Question: I have been given a bunch of embossing powders that appear to be many years old and I know that they’ve never been used, are they still okay? Answer: Embossing powders never lose their melting quality but they may deepen in colour with age. The only way to know is by testing them on scrap card with a juicy embossing pad. You could even attach the tester image to the top of the jar to remind you if the colour has been affected or not. You never know, the darker versions might become your favourites, and you’ll have to wait years for another batch to age to perfection!…

Shine Bright BY THERESE CALVIRD METHOD 1 Layer black card 140mm x 95mm on folded white card 300mm x 105mm using mounting tape. 2 Stamp nine Paper Smooches Perpetual Bliss globes on white card with Versafine onyx black ink then colour them with a variety of Prismacolor pencils using Gamsol and a blending stump. 3 Fussy-cut these out and affix them to the black card in three rows, leaving a larger gap between the lower two, with mounting tape. 4 Stamp Mama Elephant’s Bling ‘shine bright’ sentiment on black card using VersaMark ink then emboss ‘shine’ with American Crafts Zing white powder and ‘bright’ with Zing lemon.
