My friend Charlotte was really worried about her dog Sally.
‘I can’t understand it. Ever since we opened up the attic rooms, she sits at the door and howls,’ said Charlotte over the phone. ‘She’s really distressed, for some reason.’ Charlotte, her husband Mark, and Sally, had moved into the 17th century farmhouse 18 months earlier.
