Listening to my kids happily chattering away in the garden, I busied myself with the dishes.
It was August 2019, we were experiencing a heat wave, and the kids were making the most of it.
Just then, something suddenly caught my eye.
Peering out the kitchen window, I spotted my one-year-old boy, Sonny, stood proudly at the top of a 6ft plastic slide we’d set up.
‘Sonny, no!’ I screamed, running outside to him.
Thankfully, I managed to catch him just in time, bringing his giggling little body quickly back down to safety.
