Tucked up in his blanket, Paw Patrol on the TV, this looked like any other day for my son Blake, 4.
Only, this time, he was feeling poorly.
‘It’s a tummy bug,’ the doctor had said.
A mum of three, I was no stranger to bellyaches.
But soon after, in January 2018, Blake began violently vomiting. Then his whole body went limp.
I held him in my arms, tried to sit him up.
‘Call 999!’ I shouted to my partner Joseph, 31.
My parents rushed round to look after my other boys, Haydon, 10, and Kayleb, 7.
In the ambulance, Blake looked so weak, and his speech began to slur.
