Nearly 50 classics of all shapes and sizes lit up the interest of remote bidders at the latest Charterhouse auction, from a Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit to a Messerschmitt KR200, and lots in between.
There was plenty of opportunity for those after a winter project, and indeed the auction kicked off with two: a 1960 Jaguar 2.4 and a 1969 MGB GT. Both were offered without reserve, but it was the MGB in slightly more solid condition that brought the hammer down, at £680.
The project that made the biggest impact, though, was a rather special 1965 Mini Cooper S. This car had been in storage since 1973, owned by a now deceased…
