Journey in crisis Schon-Cain rift threatens the band’s future. H.E.A.T : KEVIN NIXON; JOURNEY: REX As this issue went to press, a growing feud between Journey members Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain appeared to threaten the future of the group, with guitarist Schon saying of keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Cain: “I want to be elevated by whom I play with, not feel like I’ve got cement shoes,” and issuing the not-so-veiled threat: “If anyone is unhappy they are not running my band then they should leave.” One can only imagine the tensions within Journey’s dressing room as the band continue their North American tour.
