Dick Diamonde

Born in Holland as Dingeman Adriaan Henry van der Sluijs, Dick Diamonde immigrated to Sydney at the age of four to become a co-founding bassist of The Easybeats, who, despite the brevity of their existence, rank among the most famous and important bands in Australia. Along with Harry Vanda and George Young (who became inextricably linked to AC/DC) Diamonde played on The Easybeats’ huge hit Friday On My Mind, released in 1966.
