A leading British manufacturer of replacement body panels and parts for classic cars has issued a warning to enthusiasts and restorers to make sure retailers are genuine before parting with any money, due to the risk of being scammed. It comes after the firm's panels were advertised at much cheaper prices by a Facebook page purporting to be a UK-based classic car panel stockist, which has since been traced to Thailand.
Founded in the early 1970s, Magnum Car Panels is the largest independent UK manufacturers of classic replacement body panels and parts, producing items for Minis, classic Fords, Jaguars, Mercedes, Vauxhall and Volkswagens.
