Nick Compton, who played 16 Tests for England, was a member of the side that clinched the Test series against the Proteas during the 2015-16 season.
Compton hails from a rich sporting pedigree. His late grandfather, Denis, was one of the finest English batsmen of his era and the original ‘Brylcreem Boy’ also played for Arsenal. Nick's great uncle Leslie, who represented Middlesex, never cracked Test cricket but had a more decorated career at Arsenal than Denis and earned two caps for England. Meanwhile, Nick’s father, Richard, and uncle, Patrick, played cricket for Natal.
