Even though⌠thereâs minimal evidence that certain foods applied to skin in their raw forms can treat acne better than, you know, actual acne products, says board-certified dermatologist Adeline Kikam, DO, aka @BrownSkinDerm on IG and TikTok. Besides, applying something harsh, like a straight-citrus-juice mask, could really, truly eff up your face. Here, Dr. Kikam shares some of her patientsâ most common failed food experiments.
