GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS
The Sunday drive is a time-honored tradition in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. With more than 384 miles of road to explore (below), some going right through the park, drivers take it slow and savor the visual feast along the way. Popular routes include Cades Cove Loop Road, Newfound Gap Road and the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail.
