Georgia who is Mum to two adult children, lives near Newark, Nottingham. She has been cross stitching on and off for about 40 years. She was a teacher for 20 years, specialising in autism, and before that a journalist working for a news agency in London in the 1990’s.
“For the last four years I stopped my paid work to be a full-time carer for my mum, now 83, who has Alzheimer’s and mobility problems, before she moved into a care home in January,” explains Georgia. “Now I only work part-time as a personal assistant for a young adult with special needs. So I have a bit more time for my passion which is cross stitching. I literally live, sleep and breathe cross stitch.
