Last year I rebuilt my house. As I mentioned at the time, the redesign includes a bespoke bike room. I like to call it my service course.
It is a considerable luxury, and the only reason I got the plans past the internal audit was by offering an assurance that no bicycle nor part thereof would ever appear in the rest of the house. And, actually, I’ve discovered that, hard though it may be for most of us to believe, a bedroom is actually improved by fewer bicycles rather than more. The dining room is 100 percent bicycle-free, and still works perfectly. I suppose you don’t know till you try.
