Inspired by its popular Samba shoe, Adidas has cut a section out of the sole, fitted two-bolt cleat plates, and thereby fashioned a trainer ready for ‘life both on and off the bike’.
Consulting with cycling communities in London, Los Angeles and Germany, Adidas found that “the culture of cycling is changing and [there is] a greater demand for versatile products” – products which perform well when riding but don’t look out of place once you’ve locked up your bike and popped into the cinema, cafe, or wherever else in town.
