Speaking from my experience in south-east Queensland and, to some extent, the east coast of Australia, the moto-coaching scene is thriving. We find ourselves surrounded by MX, enduro, trials and hard enduro coaches catering to various riders. Coaches of all ages, genders and specialisations abound — from those integrating off-bike training and nutrition to those focusing on newbies, fast-paced youngsters or exclusively coaching ladies. In simple terms, coaches are plentiful, almost a dime a dozen.
This dynamic sector of our ever-changing industry often faces scrutiny. Opinions on the ideal coaching approach vary, and practically anyone can assume the title of a coach.
