Like many retired Midwesterners, we’ve become snowbirds, escaping the cold and snow for the warmth and sunshine of Florida. Unlike the Midwest, car shows in Florida avoid the hottest summer months, and are generally held in the fall, winter, and spring. So, while our friends back home (and their cars) are hibernating, it’s full on car show season here in Florida! Case in point: the 15th Annual Quaker Stake Bugfest, held each year in mid-January by a wonderful host, Joe Culver, aka Oval Joe, proud owner of a ’57 Ragtop and a ’53 Zwitter.
