GORDON’S GARAGE As we might have mentioned, Gordon has a bit of a thing for fast Cossies. The aforementioned EsCos track car now boasts 574bhp, his other, rally rep Escort Cosworth is turning heads around Scotland and he’s currently working to rebuild one of his three-door Sierra Cosworths. “That’s the main priority,” he says, “it’s been off the road a couple of years and it’s just a case of finding the time.” It’s getting a 548bhp engine from Harvey Gibbs too, which sounds pretty neat. “He reckons it’ll just spin the wheels,” Gordon laughs. Oh, and Gordon’s on the look-out for another three-door shell for a brand new build too. He promises that it’ll have “quite a big spec,” which is Gordon-speak for something really flipping fast indeed. Stay tuned!…

MARK ESCORT COSWORTH FINISHED The Escort Cossie track car build comes to an end – and Mark wasted no time in showing off his latest creation at RS Combe… Last month the car went back to Mark Shead at M.A. Developments for its final mapping session and rolling road tune-up. PARADE LAPS As well as the full-throttle action on track from the track sessions and drift demos, RS Combe 2018 also marked special anniversaries for various fast Ford models with dedicated parade laps. This year celebrated 50 years of the Escort, so the organisers arranged for a parade lap for all Escorts from the earliest Mk1s right through to the very latest Mk6 models – witnessing these incredible models blast around the track was a true sight to behold. They weren’t the only ones on track though, as Sapphire Cosworth owners joined the party as they celebrated the model’s 30th anniversary too.…
