MAKES 10
500g (1lb 1oz) block of readymade puff pastry dough
2 small apples
75g (2¾oz) blackberries
2tsp cornflour
50g (1¾oz) soft brown sugar
1tsp cinnamon
10 edible eyes
1 free-range egg, to glaze
1 Peel, core and cut your apples into 5mm (¼in) cubes. Ask an adult to help if needed.
2 In a small saucepan, add the apples, blackberries, cornflour, sugar and cinnamon. Stir all the ingredients together, so they are covered in the sugar and cornflour. Simmer on a medium high heat until the apples have slightly softened and any juice has thickened, about 5-10 minutes. Remove from the heat and transfer to a clean bowl to cool.
3 Preheat the oven to 200°C/Gas Mark 6 and line a baking tray with baking paper.
