Elizabeth Taylor is just as famous for her personal life as her movie roles. In the new documentary Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes, around 40 hours of rediscovered recordings of the star provide a candid insight into the actor, who starred in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Cleopatra. The two-time Academy Award winner married Eddie Fisher in 1959, just three hours after he divorced actress Debbie Reynolds. And, in 1963, her on-set affair with Cleopatra co-star Richard Burton was one of Hollywood’s biggest scandals. “I am not immoral. I make mistakes, and have paid for them,” Taylor says in the documentary.
