Traditionally, January in the music technology world is centred around the NAMM show in Anaheim, California. It’s here, every year, that the world’s hardware and software companies descend to unveil their latest developments and forthcoming products.
In reality, the role of NAMM in the electronic music world has changed and, arguably, diminished in recent years. This year’s show was notable for the absence of headline unveilings from the likes of Korg, Moog and Roland. Yet in place of these bigger players, it’s morphed into our annual opportunity to discover innovations from smaller companies, check out the latest in US Eurorack and get hands-on with exciting new cutting-edge gear.
