1 When the team went out on expeditions, they usually used one of the two Muskeg snow tractors on the base and towed a sled and a caboose. They slept and ate in this wooden hut and took shelter in it during snowstorms. After a storm, it took hard work to free the sleds and supplies from the snow. 2 Every two weeks someone had to fill the snow melter to supply the base with water.
