There was a roar, plenty of smiles and some tears … even from the man himself.
Tom Watson, one of the game’s great gentlemen, played his last Masters last month and waved goodbye to his fans in what was his 155th and final majors appearance. He made his majors debut at the Masters in 1970 and finished with eight major wins, including two green jackets.
The 66-year-old made par on the final hole as he was greeted by his family and a standing ovation from the patrons.
