I KNOW THIS is nuts (and incredibly random), but during ye olde lockdown, my band is recreating — note for note — Ringo Starr’s 1970 country-music album, Beaucoups of Blues, via GarageBand (from our respective homes, of course). I don’t know why we chose to record this obscure, non-hit album from a bygone era, but it really doesn’t matter. The point is, it’s fun and it gives all of us something “musical” to do in this time of cancelled gigs — plus it keeps our skills up.
