NEVILLE’S ADVOCATE When the Guitarist team meet for a get-together (like the one we recently had to celebrate our 500th issue), the topic of conversation often turns to guitars we regret selling. Now, I’m an impetuous fellow, so the instruments that have come and gone in my life are many and varied. Actually, not so varied since they tend to number the same few models that I lusted after as a kid. So it’s Strats, Les Pauls, Teles, ES-335s, Martin, Epiphone and Gibson acoustics, latterly PRSes, Taylors, Takamines, a Yamaha or two with the odd waif and stray thrown in. It’s my musical preference to own these models, and nothing against any of the brilliant instruments that we are lucky enough to see and play on a daily basis.
