I was on the phone with J.J. Reich, the public relations director who handles both Federal Premium ammunition and Savage rifles, discussing an upcoming prairie dog shoot we’d both be on in South Dakota. Federal Premium was the sponsor, and J.J. was detailing the new lineup of American Eagle Varmint & Predator ammo. “It’s got a great .223 Remington load, featuring a 50-grain hollowpoint bullet,” he said, “perfect for a high-volume shoot like this one.”
