Essentially, the spaces need to be clean and stark with streamlined furniture pieces. It can be offset with strong geometrical patterns and tropical plant prints. Modern minimalism is all about identifying what is practically important to interiors and sticking to that. Form follows function. The first step would be to select a palette: you can go for a warmer or cooler one—and remember to stick to it! Warmer palettes would veer towards beiges and creams, while cooler ones would gravitate towards greys and whites.
