As a kid growing up in Canada, I always had my face buried in a fashion magazine, and Linda Evangelista, a Canada native, was royalty. Her photos were all over my wall.
I remember seeing that issue of Harper’s Bazaar with her on the cover when it relaunched under Liz Tilberis in 1992 and thinking it was the most striking cover I’d ever seen. Years later, I got to meet Evangelista when I was a fashion assistant. So to have her back on the cover for our Beauty issue—and to mark her 60th birthday—is really special.
