From the Isle of Skye to the coast of Cornwall, from the mountains in Snowdonia to Tobermore in Northern Ireland, more than 120 varieties of flowers from farms, cutting gardens and allotments from across the country adorned Westminster Abbey on the day of the coronation.
There were tulips and bluebells, ranunculus and azaleas, rhododendrons, primroses and honeysuckle in rich golds, burgundies, purples, pinks and reds, reflecting the colour palette of the High Altar and the Cosmati Pavement as well as Their Majesties’ Robes of State and Estate.
