‘The Crown’ leads the way in Bafta TV nominations
Netflix hit The Crown is the frontrunner in the nominations for the 2024 Bafta Television Awards, announced last week. Peter Morgan’s historical drama received eight nods, with Dominic West nominated for Best Actor for his role as Prince Charles.
Elizabeth Debicki (above), shortlisted for her portrayal of Diana, Princess of Wales, goes up against co-star Lesley Manville, who plays Princess Margaret, in the Supporting Actress category. Salim Daw, who portrays Mohamed Al-Fayed, is also nominated for his supporting role.
Elsewhere, Black Mirror’s Demon 79 episode received seven nods, while Slow Horses, Happy Valley and The Sixth Commandment all notched up six.
