THE Scottish Railway Preservation Society is offering a tour to Inverness on Sunday, March 26.
Class 37 No. 37403 Isle of Mull will haul the society’s rolling stock from Linlithgow, picking up passengers at Dalmeny, Dalgety Bay, Kirkcaldy, Ladybank, Cupar, and Dundee Tay Bridge.
It will then follow the east coast of Scotland, crossing the Forth andTay Bridges en route to Aberdeen, before continuing to Inverurie and then passing Keith, Elgin, Forres and Nairn, before arriving mid-afternoon.
There will be two hours to explore the area, before returning home via the Highland Line, through the passes of Slochd and Drumochter, past Blair Atholl to Perth, and then along the north shore of theTay to Dundee.
There are options of standard or first class travel, with or without a dining option.…
