THE ATTESSA RANGE from hi-fi marque Roksan, which also includes a turntable and – old school alert! – CD player, is, we’re told, all about adding ‘convenience’ to ‘performance’. The Attessa Streaming Amplifier certainly appears to fit the brief, combining a 2 x 80W amp stage with music streaming skills via BluOS, plus Bluetooth, USB, coaxial, optical, analogue and MM phono inputs (but not HDMI ARC, which removes some of the amp’s appeal for use in a TV-based system).
Still, lace up a speaker pair, plus maybe a subwoofer to the rear-panel pre-out, and away you go, using the BluOS app to queue up content, and Roksan’s own Maestro Unite app to adjust some deep settings. There’s also menu control via keys and volume/select knob on the front panel, although…
