A natural to the design industry, Silvana Azzi Heras grew up with a love for all things creative. Her passion for painting, drawing, photography and textiles took her through the University of Western Sydney, where she earned an honours degree in Design and Visual Communications. After completing her degree, Silvana joined the team at Bazmark Inq as head designer, working closely alongside Baz Luhrmann and his wife Catherine Martin.
Embarking on what became a 17-year journey with Bazmark Inq, Silvana fully embraced all the incredible opportunities, designing costumes for iconic films such as Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby. During her time with the brand, she also worked for Catherine Martin Homewares, designing wallpaper, fabrics and rugs in collaborations with brands such as Anthropologie and Tiff any & Co.
