IZZIE HILL rode a double for her father-in-law, Lower Machen debutant Alan Hill, kicking off proceedings with a triumph in the restricted aboard Jongleur D’Ainay.
Co-owned by Alan and Jake and Caroline Exelby, the six-year-old by Great Pretender put on an impressive display, winning by 17 lengths. His last run was almost two years prior in January 2024, when he took the maiden at Wadebridge.
Alan credits his wife, Lawney, and his son, Joe, for spotting him at the sales.
“He won impressively for us first time out, then we decided to take him to the sales. However, he fell short of his reserve,” said Alan.
Since returning home, Jongleur D’Ainay has faced a few hurdles.
