In April 2015, I received recognition that’s the most important thing to me in all my years at HOT ROD: I’ve been inducted into the Dry Lakes Racing Hall of Fame. Land-speed racing and rodding history are the interests I’ve held most closely for more than 20 years, making it unfathomable to be added to a list that includes Alex Xydias, Mickey Thompson, Craig Breedlove, Al Teague, and dozens more. I’m equally humbled to join the HOT ROD staffers in the Hall of Fame, including Wally Parks, Eric Rickman, Tom Medley, Ray Brock, Tex Smith, Don Francisco, Louise Ann Noeth, and Gray Baskerville.
