The addition of three new corporate’ members to the American Motorcycle Association has been announced by Carl T. Swenson, president of the AMA. The companies were informed of their acceptance into the 37-year-old association devoted to the promotion of motorcycling by a letter from Swenson. Contacted were T.A. Hodgdon, president BSA, Inc., Nutley, N.J.; Lawrence Paul, president, The Indian Company, Chicopee, Mass.; and Denis McCormack, president, The Triumph Corporation, Baltimore, Md.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the BSA group of manufacturing companies of which BSA Motor Cycles Limited, Birmingham, England, is an important part. In 1954, BSA entered the US market with the establishment of an eastern factory branch, BSA Inc., at Nutley, N.J. BSA western motorcycle customers are served by Hap Alzina, Oakland, Calif.
