BOW TIE BRIGADE?
I just read Dave Wallace's Second Opinion column “In Appreciation of American Iron” (Dec. '08) and decided to share with you our Lempert family fleet, affectionately nicknamed the Bow Tie Brigade, as not just any American car but only a quality Chevrolet will be found in our driveway. I have to agree with you on the classic American car being without comparison in terms of comfort, sound, power, and pure pleasure to drive. My brown, daily-driver, '74 Chevy Impala sedan, fresh out of a dormant 20 years in the Dodge City, Kansas, sun has only 21,000 miles and not a speck of rust.
