Like plenty of entrepreneurs, Jon Moser starts his day at 5 a.m., but his morning routine is hardly typical. The founder and CEO of Finalsite, a $150 million K-12 edtech company he launched 25 years ago—which serves more than 7,000 schools—spends the dawn hours tending to his 80-acre farm.
The hobby started 16 years ago when Moser and his wife, Angela, moved their family to the Elling ton, Connecticut, property and bought 20 chickens, which the couple hoped would teach their kids a thing or two about responsibility.
