Are they just sparks of random energy that float around waiting for a brain to pass by that’s susceptible enough for them to inhabit and gain fruition? Whatever makes an idea, the spark that powered Instagram was certainly powerful. As with an actual boomerang, which when thrown will return, an Instagram Boomerang will play a video forward, then backward, in an endless loop. 1 As Boomerangs are a part of the Story feature of Instagram, you will need to launch a new Story: tap the Plus icon in the bottom right of your profile picture, or swipe in from the left of the screen. However, in response to that the company released Hands-free mode back in December 2016. 1 Story mode has offered the user many much needed extras, some of which you probably won’t use during your Instagram usage, but they’re there nonetheless.
